Hey, so I recently received a fatty PS2 with a network adapter from my cousin after my other PS2 broke. He didn’t want it, I had no PS2, you get the picture. I never had a network adapter so I was really excited to use it. My main PC is downstairs in the office where my dad works, so he didn’t let me set it up there.

So here’s my question, can I hook up my PS2 to my laptop with wireless internet(I don’t know the exact words). I have a Dell Inspiron 9200 with Windows XP. I also have an ethernet cable because I read elsewhere that I would need it.

I check other sites and although they may have been useful, the terminology was way too “techy” for me to understand. Just pretend I’m a little kid doing this for the very first time, what do I do!?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
Oh, I found some files on the memory card that came with the PS2 about the network settings or something… I assume I wont be needing the cd.

Oh and I cannot move the router, my dad would get mad.
About the Author:
