My kids used the dvd drive to play a new pc game, and when I went to use the laptop again, I can’t get anything to come up on the screen. My son says he pushed the “off” button. I have tried putting the disc back in, but still nothing.
It is a wireless pc, but I have the ac cable plugged in correctly. It seems like I cant turn it off or on. I tried the suggestions but I still have a black screen. Any more ideas? Thanks

I was born in 1990, and to me, it seems that in this decade, it takes more material things to keep people happy. As an example, back when I was 8, all the kids wanted a gameboy color, and when they got it, it kept them content for MONTHS, now, a child will want an ipod, then a wii, then a laptop etc, what do you think is causing this need to have more and more ?

My daughter broke her laptop and wants to make money to buy a used one off ebay. Noone wants a 12 year old babysitter, they think its too young, and i really have no chores for her to do around the house. Do u know any way for her to make money online or in real life, since she’s too young to get a real job. Shes been bugging me about it, and i cant think of anything, Thanks.

I babysit for a family that owns loads of tech, but they know nothing about it. The kid is getting an iPod for Christmas, and they’ve asked me to go round to help him put some songs on it from iTunes etc. However, the dad got the ‘techies’ at work to set up this kids laptop etc. For some reason, there is no admin account on the laptop (windows xp). If there is no admin account, surely I won’t be able to install iTunes on the laptop? How do I get around this?

i have a 160GB external harddrive that works via USB2.0.
Is it possible to put my harddrive on my pc in the bedroom and share the harddrive with my other pc that is in the livingroom and with the kids laptop in their bedrooms.

Ok. I Know allot of friends that need there ECU Flashed, to increase HP and speed. Im the Computer whiz kid out of our group and i have no idea how its done. ive seen people do it through a serial cable and a laptop. i need to know, what cables i need, where i can get them, and what software is used. if needed i can get stand alone computers, that will run nothing but the software for the flashes.

We really want broadband but are in a rural area and this was the ONLY option left. So we got the aircard but don’t know if we’ll be able to make the desktop upstairs in our kids’ room (basically I guess do this network thing we’ve heard of) get broadband also. We’re getting the aircard tomorrow and would like to be prepared to shut the dial up down if at all possible and luckily the monthly bill actually ends tomorrow. So can anyone help us figure out how to NETWORK if it even will this aircard into our desktop?
