Mac = suck, you can get the same thing with Vista/Linux if all you need is GLOSS (besides that it’s way overpriced hardware)
Smartboards = useless for most purposes, end of story
Ignore Parkwoodman, probably just another fanboy on here. PCs rarely crash, and I’ve seen Macs crash more often than I’ve ever seen a PC. Screw the virus concern, having a decent security suite is way more than good enough.

Mac’s are a totally different experience. It’s good for kids to learn new things and once they start using the OS X operating system, they might like it more than they thought (although they might not admit it).
It’s true that Mac’s are more expensive than most PC’s, but, you get what you pay for.
As for smart boards, they can be very useful around the classroom. They’re like any digital projector, but they allow you to use the board as a giant touch screen, making it much easier for teachers and students to give presentations.

Mac’s are the better way to go, when it comes to computers. Mac’s give you the ability to run two operating systems, but what makes it run that way is having either parallels or boot camp on the Hard Drive. I run windows XP and OS X on my Mac. I can switch between to the two OS’s and use them the same way. Mac is never a waste of money, like the other person said “you get what you pay for”.
Windows has too many backdoors in their software, meaning that intruders can have a field day on your computer because microsoft gives them them that entrance. I’ve had my computer for two years now, and not experience the headaches that’s associated with PC’s.
PC’s crash alot.
