now it wont power up
is there a way i can get pics and vids from it as they are of my kids when dey was babys. thanks in advance

If you have warranty, contact the company you bought it from, they will fix it for you, but it will cost you, as it was your fault. Take out the internal hardrive to be safe, but since its been four days, im pretty sure the milk is dried.

Open up your laptop and take out the hard drive.
If you have a Playstation 3 then you can slot it into that, then just backup the data onto an external hard drive.

Yes, you can get the data back.
The vids, pics, etc are all stored on the hard drive. Laptop hard drives are generally very easy to remove.
To recover the data, you’ll need a 2.5″ notebook drive to usb adapter and another PC to use, to store the recovered data.
You’ll simply remove the drive from the laptop and transfer the data. If you need help, a local tech (yellow pages) will be able to do this task for you in just a few hours.

yes, you can remove your harddisk and connect it to your PC (or someone elses) if it has a SATA connector or, if it has an old-school mini PATA connector, you can purchase a laptop-2-IDE converter so you can back up everything.
